Real Estate Taxes
Your property taxes are based on three (3) taxing jurisdictions – Salford Township, Montgomery County, and Souderton Area School District (SASD). The real estate property tax is based on a millage rate levied each year by the respective governing bodies of those jurisdictions on your assessed property value. For example, the Salford Township real estate tax is set by the Township Board of Supervisors in December each year as part of the annual budget process. The School District real estate tax is set each spring by Souderton School Board.
Real Estate tax bills for County/Township are sent by February 1st of each year. SASD tax bills are sent by July 1st of each year. If you do not receive within 2 weeks of each date, please notify the tax collector.
