Per Capita Tax
Per Capita Tax is levied upon all Salford Township residents age eighteen (18) years and over. Such tax is collected by the elected tax collector at the following rates:

Per Capita Taxes not paid to the Tax Collector by the end of the billing period, December 31st are forwarded to the Delinquent Taxing Authority, Berkheimer for collection, who will add their collection fees to the original bill penalty amount.
Per Capita Exoneration is available to those persons "Over 65 and having less income annually than $10,000 excluding Social Security & Supplemental Security income (SSI)" or "Under 65 having less income annually than $10,000 (Annuities, IRA Distributions, Interest, Dividends, Capital Gains, Net Rental Income, Net Business Income or other income such as wages, cash public assistance, unemployment compensation, gifts totaling more than $300, life insurance death benefits exceeding $10,000)". Please contact the tax collector for forms (that are signed annually) to receive your exoneration.
