The Zoning Officer is responsible for enforcing the Zoning Ordinance, applicable Township Ordinances, reviews zoning permit applications, approvals and performs on-site inspections.
Office hours at the Township Building on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening of every month from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM and can be contacted at 215-257-5664 or zoning@salfordtownship.org
Zoning Permits:
Salford Township issues ZONING PERMITS only. Ordinance #133 - Zoning 2006 can be found under the "Document Center". Refer to Article 3, Section 302 referercing permits for 3rd party inspections of PA Uniform Construction Code (PAUCC).
Zoning Permits are required for:
- Construction of a new building
- Additions to existing buildings, decks, or porches
- Alterations to existing buildings (Change of Use)
- Accessory Use - Sheds, Barns, Detached Garage, Pool House, Gazebo
- Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs
- Patios, Decks, Retaining Walls
- Signs - new or replacement
- Driveway - Road Occupancy
- Solar Panels
Zoning permits are NOT required for:
- Replacement of windows or siding
- Roof replacement
