Planning Commission
Powers and duties were delegated to the Planning Commission by the Salford Township Board of Supervisors by Ordinance #19, adopted February 7, 1962. The Planning Commission shall undertake planning on behalf of the health, safety and general welfare of township residents. The Planning Commission shall make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors in the area of comprehensive planning, land use, zoning, subdivision and land development. The Planning Commission shall also perform such other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Board of Supervisors with regard to regional planning, the environment, transportation, housing, energy, quality of life, and the economic needs of the township. Members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to a four (4) year term.
